National Junior Honor Society

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization that is based on five pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship.  Students will attend monthly meetings during their Advisory class.  Members will complete 2 service projects each year as a group and will be required to earn 30 hours of community service individually each year.  NJHS members are leaders at AMS and continually find ways to be of service to their school and fellow students.  NJHS members are selected after a rigorous selection process.  Incoming 7th & 8th graders are screened to see if they meet the grade requirements.  Those students whom maintain an A average are brought to a committee and reviewed for selection.  If selected, students will receive a letter of notification.  All communication for NJHS will be through the NJHS Schoology group.
